What is Ocean Pollution?

• Ocean pollution is a very serious problem our world suffers today. The ocean takes up 71% of our planet, which is filled with beautiful marine life and plants. But these wonderful marine animals and plants don't live as long as they used to anymore because their home is filled with toxins, trash, and etc. Ocean pollution "occurs when harmful effects result from the entry into the ocean of chemicals, particles, industrial, agricultural, and residential waste, noise, or the spread of invasive organisms." 

                                               Why did I choose this issue?

• I chose this issue because I feel that if we resolve this problem, then most of the other environmental problems will lessen. This is a very serious issue because we are literally killing our planet every single day. Recycling and ocean clean ups are things we can do to help but there is so much more trash that won't just go away by doing so.
